This is my tribute to the wonderful T.V. Series Beauty and The Beast.
Aired in the U.S. From 1987 until 1990 when it was cancelled.

Beauty and the Beast  was centered around the relationship
between Catherine (Linda Hamilton), an attorney who lived in New York City,
and Vincent (Ron Perlman),  a gentle, but lion-faced "beast" who dwells in the tunnels beneath the city.

I have been a fan of the series since it first aired on CBS in 1987, but fell in love with the story itself long before that,
ever since my early childhood, and so on the night the pilot aired, I sat and watched with much anticipation,
I was not disappointed. It had everything! A poignant love story, classic literature, poetry, and the introduction
and creation of a world below in which there was found a place of safety, of love and understanding.
A utopia of sorts for the downtrodden, the unwanted, and the abused of the world above.
How I wished that such a place really did exist!

You will find here some pictures of Vincent and Catherine.   Along with several of my favorite poems from the series.
